Ever wondered how those zokushas have that sharp high pitch when revving their engines like this?
The principle is very simple: normal exhausts have mufflers which silence all sounds whil most aftermarket exhausts will silence all high tones to give that deep bass sound. To get the high note like the zokushas you need to do the reverse:
How to create a bosozoku style high pitch muffler
First take an exhaust with the widest pipe (to lose least sound as possible).

Then add an extra sidepipe which will silence the deep bass sounds.

If needed add another to silence the mid tones.

And mount it under your favorite zokusha!

That’s helpful.
I am trying to get a very loud level 5 , formula 1 kreissieg Lamborghini sound .What size pipes do you use to cancel out the bass & mid tones & what length do you use on the bosozoku to get a formula 1 race car sound ? Please help , thank you
No. It’s way more complex than that.
So will this make your exhaust sound like a Lamborghini gallardo extra loud level 5, f1 exhaust system if not how can you get a cheap exhaust sound like that ?
Hey mate, I was wondering if there were any videos of this particular car pictured and the exhaust note that is acheived with this set up?
so the ends of the sidepipes are sealed, correct?
Yes
Any tricks for calculating length of the bass removing chamber? Looks just like a helmholtz resonator
This is a great blog. Are those end pipes just straight pipe with the end sealed off? Or are they packed resonators of some type?
is the rest of the exhaust the stock exhaust or is it a larger pipe then stock
