Found some more back issues of Champ Road:
Back issues of Champ Road
These four back issues show a promising Soarer, Skyline Japan, Celica XX and a Mark II on its covers!
And on the inside: Iwahashi Kenitirou!

A Champ Road without Iwahashi Kenitirou is like a Macchiato without the milk! 😉
by banpei with no comments yetTime for something new: we do post certain auctions in the deep dish postings, but we hardly post anything interesting outside that section.
So, let’s start with this beautiful second generation Toyota Soarer:
Toyota Soarer E-MZ21 RS*R
The car has been painted in three different colors, just like the grachan style. At the front a 27 cm sharknose extension has been done and the taillights have been swapped.
Front wheels are 8.5J and the rear wheels are 10.5J wide. To fit these wheels the front fenders have been tapped out and some (small) fender extenders have been mounted at the rear
At first I thought the taillights were swapped for the Prince Skyline S50 series, but I was wrong:

They are certainly early BMW 02 series taillights. How do I know for sure? My parents used to own a BMW 2002, but more about that in a later posting. 😉

This E-MZ21 Soarer is an automatic (just like 90% of all Soarers) and has same the 3 liter 7M turbo engine as found in the MA70 Supra.
The most striking is this comment placed two days ago:
The fact that there was a violation of the guidelines report two cases. What do you violate the law is that which is forbidden by law to sell?
In other words: this auction has been marked as illegal in two occasions. Indeed the seller states there are no documents with the car and it is unknown if the recycling fee has been paid. Now what would be the real history of that can then?
Remember the beautiful SSR F5 rims we posted two weeks ago? Well, how about a set of SSR F6 then?
SSR F6 14 inch 6.5J
You may think they are not as beautiful as the F5s, but they are much rarer than those 12 inch wide F5s!
This also reflects in the price: the F5s have a current bid of 10,500 yen ($115) for two rims and the F6s have a current bid of 49,800 yen ($560) for four rims!
SSR F6 14 inch 6.5J
The only vehicles able to use a six lugnut and use 6.5J wide rims in a sane way are some small delivery vans and mini SUVs like the Daihatsu Rocky.
What’s even more puzzling: the rims are 14 inch but the tires are 155/55/R15! I’ve seen someone doing such thing with an innertube between the tire and the bead on the inside of the tire. Anyone familiar with that type of tire mounting?
You can find these rims on Auctions Yahoo

Ever wondered how those zokushas have that sharp high pitch when revving their engines like this?
The principle is very simple: normal exhausts have mufflers which silence all sounds whil most aftermarket exhausts will silence all high tones to give that deep bass sound. To get the high note like the zokushas you need to do the reverse:
How to create a bosozoku style high pitch muffler
First take an exhaust with the widest pipe (to lose least sound as possible).
How to create a bosozoku style high pitch muffler
Then add an extra sidepipe which will silence the deep bass sounds.

If needed add another to silence the mid tones.

And mount it under your favorite zokusha!

Another long series of meeting videos by jyoutou. This time he uploaded all coverage of the 2009 meeting at Shiraoi.
In the first video you can see the infamous Team Madonna Gloria:
In the second video a nicely done sharknose Mark II with a set of double exhaust pipes (takeyari), a few other Mark IIs, a Skyline C210 and many many motorcycles:
In the third video a big lineup on all cars:
Including a bippu second generation Cima Y32, followed by a pair of bippu Cedric Y32s!
The fourth video has a Team Madonna inspired Cedric 430 with grill which looks like it is from an 80s Lincoln Towncar Limo! And yet again: many many motorcycles!
Next week we will show the next four videos! If you can’t wait for that, visit JYoutou‘s page on Youtube!
