Back in the late 80s AMG was one of the baddest tuners around: with their bulky lowered Mercs they really showed how tuning is supposed to be done. Naturally another tuner of that era called Koenig made even more outrageous designs including the Koenig Testarossa which looked a bit more out of space than Doc’s Delorean time machine.
So naturally people stared copying the AMG and Koenig designs, including this beautiful Cedric 430:
Not only does it feature an enormous sharknose and lip, it also includes the typically Koenig side air intakes!
Seen from the rear it becomes apparent how ridiculously wide those rear fenders are! (more…)
by banpei with 1 commentIt is always great to see some special car pop up in your rear view mirror, but ever seen a Mark II GX71 kaido racer in your rear view mirror?? Okay the poster of this video is also driving a shakotan Skyline C210 so it could hardly be a coincidence that they are driving to the same meeting.
After a while the obvious tunnel rides will be performed. I really wonder what the drivers of the oncoming traffic must have thought when they see a bunch of slaloming shakotan cars and a kaido racer…

by banpei with 1 commentThese eight exhaust pipes would suggest that this Crown S130 actually features the top of the range 1UZ engine.
Let’s just keep it that way. 😉
Amazing what you can do with a Kenmeri Skyline, Hakosuka Skyline, Fairlady Z, some photoshop skills and fooling around with different JDM styles:
I especially love the Grand Champ Hello Bosozoku style! 😉

by banpei with 2 commentsKaido racers look best with lots of bodywork extensions, some weird two-tone vinyl stripings and the obvious oil cooler. This Cresta GX71 is no exception to this!
