Kei trucks make excellent kaido racers: they are easy to change and they definitely look different from other kaido racers.
This Suzuki Carry is nicely done with some two-tone vinyl and SSR Mk II wheels:

Last friday we featured a video of an almost perfect Tomica Skyline RS Super Silhouette immitation. After a wild goose chase I managed to find some pictures of this wonder:
Perfect Tomica Skyline RS immitation
And believe it or not, this picture was actually taken at a Porsche meeting in Nagashima!!
On this picture while unloading the car you can see its profile a bit better:

If you pay good attention and compare it to this picture of the real car (posted before here) you can see that my remark was a bit off:
The real Hashemi Tomica Skyline RS Super Silhouette
I remarked that the wheels were too small, but that is not the case: the real one appears to have a much higher roofline. This was done to comply to the rules of Group 5 which required to retain the roofline of the car. Other parts were allowed to be altered as long as the silhouette remained the same. Hence the lowered bonnet, fenders and trunk.
Another difference are obviously the headlights and lack of hoodfins:

This picture was taken inside Hide’s garage.
The rear is a copy of the early model:

But since there are so little pictures of the rear of the car it can only be guessed that it is correct…
I have no idea what is under its hood, but I don’t think you will find a LZ20R under it. Most probably a FJ20ET…
I said it is a perfect copy in the title, but that is obviously not entirely correct. However it is definitely the closest to the real thing!

QareeMz sent me some pictures of his sharknosed Toyota Corolla AE70 a few weeks ago. This week he sent me the updated pictures, including a Victory Exhaust!

In Japan the zokushas are either very large vehicles (Cedrics, Crowns, etc) or very small kei cars. It is great to see a car between those two classes!
The oil-cooler and sharknose give the car a great face:

And the Hoshino Impuls complement the side!
And the victory exhaust finishes off the rear!

QareeMz also wrote he is starting a Malaysian Bosozoku club himself. How cool is that!
Facebook fan Alexander Veit from Austria posted this tri-continent Bosozoku-SoCal-ratlook crossover on our wall:
BOSO?SOCAL CIVIC
Yup, definitely bosozoku at the rear!
But at the front you can see the whole mix between the three styles:
BOSO?SOCAL CIVIC
Oil Cooler meets rusty fenders meets bonnetless front meets polished Ronals meets roofrack. This weeks Fronte still got to do some stuff if they want to compete with this mashup!
And I love the design of this boso?socal sticker:

Alexander, can we copy those designs? 😛
