This week we feature the same exhaust as last week! No, we do not like to repeat ourselves, but we did find a picture of (probably) the same car taken about 15 years later:
Same laurel as last week?
This laurel has the same exhaust pipes, the same fins on the fenders, the same door mirrors and the same wide fenders. So is it the same or a remake of the old one?
Sometimes you find a little gem between all those old pictures you collected through those years… Well, I did with this Nissan Laurel C230:
Nissan Laurel C230 in the nineties
As you can see, it was taken exactly 17 years ago!
Lovely exhausts btw! 😉
by banpei with no comments yetThe gaijin who shot this video when visiting daikoku futo had the right caption for this video: awesome tail pipes!
The roofchopped car really has awesome tail pipes! Now what car could that be? A Nissan Laurel C32?
I really like the simplicity of this double exhaust sticking out of the hood of this Mark II:
Pocari Sweat Mark II
The exhaust itself are two thick yellow pained pipes with an unpainted tip on it. It really suits the painting of the rest of the car!
The car is painted with Pocari Sweat decals which is a very popular energy drink. I only had the chance to drink that stuff once and it has an quite interesting taste: a bit grapefruit like taste. And the good thing is that you can mix it yourself! If you want to try it (or buy it) you can buy Pocari Sweat at JList.
Damn, I wish they could jusr sell that stuff in the supermarket here! 😉

Flagpole Cresta GX61
The two exhaust pipes mounted on both sides of the car remind me a bit of the flagpoles used by the bosozoku on their bikes! Large long poles with a big “motorclub” flag on it. Maybe the owner of this zokusha was inspired by those bikes. 😉
The teamname is another wacky Japanese name: Team 2 Lay. Uhm… Did they mean they were too late and misspelled that or did they mean they want to get laid? 😛
