The Toyota Crown S60 is one of the most beautiful models you can create a zokusha from. Especially if you chop the roof and give it a wicked paint job:
Read and white flamed Crown S60
I’m sure we’ve posted this red and white Crown before (in a video?) but I can’t really find it anymore…
Read and white flamed Crown S60
Here you can see how beautifully made it is! White interior, deep dish steel rims, wide fenders and big wing finishing off its lines!

Just look how deep those steel rims are! Just beautiful!

Another bosozoku export car: US Scion xBs styled by James and Lenny!
More than two months ago James sent me an email and I promised to put up his car as a user ride. I did write the post two or three times but never actually posted it because there always came something in between. Last week I found a video (after the jump!) of James’ xB together with another zokusha by Lenny. So, this is the final rewrite of the article, including pictures of Lenny’s Toyota bB as well!
James’ Scion xB with V shaped exhaust
James has created an V shaped exhaust, an oil cooler and extremely widened fenders on his zokusha to fit those 15 inch 13J (ET -94!) Ronal Racing rims.
James’ Scion xB with deep dish Ronal Racing rims
The Ronal rims are already quite rare in the US, but having them in 13J with such offset is extremely rare! He runs them on adapters since the bolt pattern is 114.3×4 which doesn’t fit any FWD Toyota. Currently he is driving his xB with slicks on the rear wheels.
The bizarre thing is that his car is mostly hated among Scion and Toyota owners, however he did manage to win first prize the xB wild competition at the Scion show in Santa Clarita!
Lenny’s Toyota bB with star shaped exhaust
Now, Lenny’s Scion xB is something else: it is currently badged as a Toyota bB (that’s how they are sold in Japan), has a star shaped exhaust and doesn’t even have on fender extenders!
And in case you wonder how deep his dish is… Well, this is how deep it is!
You can see both zokushas in action (together with Lenny’s Scion xB as well) in this video:
Unfortunately Lenny’s bB didn’t have the deep dish yet (he runs the car on Toyota Snowflakes there!), but you will get the picture I guess!
If you want to read the whole buildup till now, you can find them here:

So, what’s left if you get bored with your bosozoku style die cast collection? You create an itasha out of it!
Bosozoku style itasha Nissan Cedric Y31 Urusei Yatsura
No, I’m not out of my mind posting a scale model in the car features! The reason for this is because it is a very well done itasha model! ๐
Bosozoku style itasha Nissan Cedric Y31 Urusei Yatsura
First of all the amount of detail put into the bosozoku style is amazing! It has got a double zigzag exhaust, a tiny tsurikawa and a gigantic double spoiler on the trunk!

At the front is has got a sharknose, a supercharger sticking out of the bonnet, an oilcooler and a lip which can be used as a snow shovel during wintertime!

It even has tiny little Marshal decals on the headlights, a tiny Cedric hood badge and a double horn under the sharknose!

You may wonder what the itasha part of this model is… Well, the theme of the itasha is Urusei Yatsura (aka Lum), which is an anime and manga series about demon aliens invading the Earth. Bosozoku were called demons as well and in the Urusei Yatsura manga the aliens resembled bosozoku! Main character Lum is a female alien (so she is a demon!) who is capable of flying and generating electrical shocks and lightning. Hence the big lightning zigzag exhaust!

On the inside the itasha is covered in tiger plush, just like the skirt of Lum. Tiny little manga are covered all over the floor of the car and there is even a screen showing the anime!

The antenna with the two carp streamers is also a pun on one of the episodes shown on Childrenโs Day (when Japanese hang out these flags) when they meet a boy called Kintaro.
All in all this is a very nicely done crossover between bosozoku style and itasha! Not only the car is bosozoku, but also the itasha theme is bosozoku! Now that’s in my opinion worth posting in the car features! ๐
If you are interested in other itasha by the same creator, you can find them here!

A few weeks ago Beeoneoneoh found this great zokusha on Auctions Yahoo:
Bosozoku car feature: Daihatsu Mira
Yes, that’s right: a Daihatsu Mira (also called Cuore outside Japan) with a chopped roof, an inflatable Deunan Knute sexdoll on the rear seat and parody chickens of Naruto and Goku painted all over the car! Or would it rather be an itasha instead?
Bosozoku car feature: Daihatsu Mira
WTF!? Lawson convenience store sponsorship on this zokusha?
Bosozoku car feature: Daihatsu Mira
From the rear you can still tell it is a Daihatsu Mira by the rear lights. Other than that there is not much resembling the original body anymore. ๐
Big thanks to Beeoneoneoh for finding this on Auctions Yahoo!
by banpei with 1 commentThis time we feature the yellow Buttigiri sharknose Skyline C210!
Buttigiri sharknose Skyline C210
Sharknose with a clean more than 45 degree shadowy overhang
This yellow Skyline Japan is one of the best sharknoses I’ve seen so far! The nose has a sharp more than 45 degree angle and ends just far enough to give the original headlight a shadowy overhang.
Nice spoiler and Nissan Cherry E10 Coupe taillights
At the tail a lot of work was done as well: the tail lights were swapped for Datsun Cherry E10 Coupe (not the Cherry X1-R: they are a tiny bit different) and the rear spoiler lines just go nicely into the rear quarter panel, as if they were following that typical Skyline bob… Also the fuelcap relocation is done nicely!
Original L20E with side draft carbs
As you can see this car still has the original L20E it came with, but now upgraded with a set of 3 side draft carbs. Also the choice for yellow is a very good one: it became a really flashy car which suits the angular bodylines very well.
All in all one of my favorite zokushas!
