I have no idea what made the difference, but this bosozoku styled Celica XX just looks perfect to me:
My Road Toyota Celica XX
My Road did a great job on it and I could not think of anything I’d like to see changed on this Celica XX. Even a headlightswap would be out of the question here: it simply would not suit the Celica XX popup lights.
My Road Toyota Celica XX with deep dish SSR Mk 2
The deep dish SSR Mk 2 rims are hidden well in those really wide fenders and the side exhaust looks just spot on: not too flashy or long while at the same time really noticeable!
I’d say it is perfectly balanced! π
Remember the Double U shaped exhausts of the week? When I posted the first car I was convinced the car was a Celica due to the rear lights.

It was a bit hard to tell but the picture only showed the rearend of the car. The picture with the second car showed it wasn’t a Celica but I couldn’t tell what it was after all. Lucky enough I finally found a couple of pictures of the side and front of the car:

Nissan Laurel C130 with swapped headlights
As you can see: it is a Laurel C130! ?(???;)
Bosozoku style Nissan Laurel C130
Not only did it have its rear lights swapped for a set of Celica’s but also the headlights of a Laurel C230 and bumper mixed from, what I think, a Toyota Mark II (midsection) and a Corona T130 (extensions).

In this picture you can see really well that the Laurel is a 2 door hardtop. IMO the best looking Laurel of them all! π
This time we feature the Toyota Crown and Nissan Cedric by Team Madonna:
Bosozoku car feature: Team Madonna Crown and Cedric
Team Madonna features five or six cars, but their most amazing cars are the Toyota Crown and Nissan Cedric. Both have been set amazingly high at the rear wheels while the front wheels have been modified with caster to keep the car drivable.
In this picture you can really compare the two cars very well. The Crown is obviously higher on its wheels and has four skyhigh tailpipes! The Cedric is a bit lower but has a more beautiful paintjob and headlight swap.
The Nissan Cedric had an extensive build history before it was in this state. In another car feature we will go into detail on this great car!

A bosozoku style Kenmeri Skyline C110
Apart from the scale models on the hood it really is different than other Kenmeri skylines in its irregular color. Not many bosozoku styled Kenmeri Skylines are in a different color than the light gray we are used to with the KPGC10.
As he says on his blog:
I really dig this colour scheme and itβs all that it needed to spin it off to awesome in my mind. Excuse my ramblings and just enjoy the car for what it is. Damn cool.
I can’t do anything else than totally agree with that! π
