Finding stuff on Auctions Yahoo is easy, but finding rare gems like this Skyline GC111 is an oddity!

Just look at the work that has been put into this car! Don’t think of it as a Skyline GC111 but as a piece of art!
Two-tone black/silver paint, widened fenders, chin spoiler, deep dish SSR Mk. II (not included in the sale), Cherry X-1R tail lights, twin exhaust, ducktail spoiler and the list continues for a while…

Also the engine was swapped for a L28 unit

Personally I’d say this car is priceless… But of course everything has a price, in this case 1.6 million yen (20000 US dollars) which is still a lot of money but IMO quite cheap for a kaido racer in this state!

by banpei with no comments yetThis dishy Fairlady with a G-nosejob surely has had a lot of work done by Datsun Works:

Those over 10J wide steel rims surely look like a custom job to me!

by banpei with no comments yetAs I said a few days ago I did have something special that is close to the kaido racers: the heavily modified bemo taxi busses I saw while visiting Jayapura (Papua, Indonesia):
Mitsubishi Colt (Minicab) bemo taxi bus in Jayapura
As you can see these busses are modified with deep dish rims (sticking far out of the bodywork), tsurikawa (but only on the inside), trunk and chin spoilers, foglights and a lot of them had headlight and/or taillight swaps. So pretty close to the real deal! 🙂
We haven’t posted any vintage Volk Mesh rims so far, so how about these 9J wide examples to make it up for that fact?
Deep dish 9J Volk Mesh rims
These rims were mounted under a Yonmeri Skyline GC110, once owned by one of the members of the Aoyama Jokers.
In case you are curious how these rims would look under such a car, this is how they look:

Apart from the rims this Yonmeri Skyline had its fenders widened by a set of fender flares to fit them and also the tail lights were swapped for a set of C210 items.

by banpei with no comments yetThis second generation Mitsubishi Galant has some seriously wide Techno Phantoms at the rear:

This generation of the Mitsubishi Galant was not very popular in Japan (in contrary of its popularity overseas) so it is very irregular to find a kyusha styled example.
