This weeks winner is:
Nissan Skyline C10 #1
It was to be expected: this Skyline is so bad it could hardly be beaten by that Laurel!
Winners so far are:
1.
Nissan Laurel C130 #1
2.
Nissan Skyline C110
3.
Nissan Cedric C230 #1
4.
Toyota Mark II MX30 #2
5.
Nissan Gloria C330 #1
6.
Nissan Cedric 330 #1
7.
Nissan Skyline C10 #1
This week we have another Laurel C130:
Nissan Laurel C130 #4
This Laurel SGX does not feature any fender extenders nor headlight swaps, but it was lowered groundscrapingly low! That stance is exactly how it should be!
Versus
Nissan Fairlady Z S30 #3
We already featured two Fairladies before, but this one is the lowest of them all!
This Fairlady has an immitation G-Nose, subtile fender extenders integrated in the body, sideskirts scraping almost over the ground, a Skyline C110 taillight swap and a slightly reworked aerodynamic rear including a MR lookalike rear window.
These two are also the last two entries for our poll. From next week onwards we will go into the second round and put week 1’s winner against week 8’s winner.
This weeks winner is:
Nissan Cedric 330 #1
It was almost a tie, but with the difference of only one vote this car won!
Winners so far are:
1.
Nissan Laurel C130 #1
2.
Nissan Skyline C110
3.
Nissan Cedric C230 #1
4.
Toyota Mark II MX30 #2
5.
Nissan Gloria C330 #1
6.
Nissan Cedric 330 #1
This weeks entries are:
Nissan Laurel 130 #3
This Laurel has it all: a nice painscheme, a nice lip, a headlight swap, wide fenders, a yellow roll cage, a low stance and a taillight swap with a Skyline C110.
Versus
Nissan Skyline C10 #1
This Skyline C10 may look plain, but this car is standing on a set of super rare River Side Riverge rims. It could have been you did not recognize them because they are only visible partly at the rear: this car is lowered so much it hides inside the rear fender. The car is so low that we had to include it!
I admit: it was a bit inevitable…
Nissan Cedric C230 #1
Yep. The Cedric won! Could it be the fact that Daijiro Inada featured this car??
Winners so far are:
1.
Nissan Laurel C130 #1
2.
Nissan Skyline C110
3.
Nissan Cedric C230 #1
This week we have another Mark II versus another Laurel:
Toyota Mark II MX30 #2
This Mark II MX30 has some beetle eye lids, a chin spoiler, an oil cooler and a tail light swap with an old Cedric.
Versus
Nissan Laurel C130 #2
If you guessed Purple, then you are right: this is the Purple Laurel! The Purple Laurel actually did not have that many changes when these pictures were made: it only had a headlight swap, some deep dish rims, massive camber and of course its flakey Purple paint!
Later on a lot did change on the Laurel: big wide fenders, oil coolers, etc. See also the video for that.
Finally we managed to kick off the search for the baddest of the toughboy zokushas! With a toughboy zokusha we mean the pre 80s ride with big loud pipes, extreme wide wheels and scraping to the ground on every bump. Only to be driven by the toughest guys!
7M Kev suggested to do a poll on this. It will be the same as the sudden death series when we searched for the most iconic zokusha: we take two toughboy zokushas and you take your pick! After a week we will look at the results and put up a next pair for you! 😉
In total we have selected 16 cars, from which 3 were selected by others. You can still send in your nominations and we’ll see if we can still fit them in the lineup.
So, this week we start with:
Nissan Laurel C130 #1
As you can see: the Laurel has a headlight swap and you can’t hardly see the road beneath it. With the 70s lip and paintscheme this Laurel looks even tougher than any extended fender would have!
versus
Nissan Fairlady Z S30 #1
With its immitation G-nose this Fairlady Z S30 looks really tough! It also has a first generation Celica liftback taillight swap and the tsurikawa hints the car won’t be able to take speedbumps in a normal fashion anymore.
I just love the looks of this purple Nissan Laurel C130 hardtop:
