Last week we featured a tree-like exhaust on a GX61 at TAS 2010. This week we have a Nissan Skyline C210 with a hatstand-like exhaust, also found at TAS 2010:

The Cedric didn’t even stand a chance against that C10! So this is it: the final between the Laurel and the Skyline!

1.
The Nissan Laurel C130!
So it will compete next week with one of these:
Nissan Cedric K230 #1
versus
Which one will it be? The Skyline or the Cedric?
We’ve posted some overhead exhausts already, but this Nissan Skyline R31 is quite a rarity:

Apart from being a rare zokusha it also had some very serious modifications: it was wide bodied in a proper granchan fashion and its spoiler makes me think of the late 90s trend of the bigger the better spoilers! Also the roof chop is done quite drastically!

At the rear end it all looks a bit too flat to me. Reminds me of the VIP Celsior by Daisuke Shouten.
Now when I saw this car my first thoughts were not Nissan Skyline C210, but actually 1981 Ford Mustang Mach 1!

Everyone who did see the original Gone in 60 seconds knows the looks of the Mach 1 by heart! Okay, it does not resemble the Mustang one on one, but you can clearly see its influences! 😉
However the paintscheme is clearly inspired by Starsky and Hutch’s Ford Torino. So which Ford did inspire this car?
I only wonder about the quad pipe exhaust: would this be a 4 cylinder L16 or L18 Skyline then?
