I just happened to stumble upon this great looking two-tone Toyota Chaser MX41 hardtop coupe on Auctions Yahoo: and it has got it all!

Apart from the oil cooler between the front bumper and chins spoiler the car also has a great early 80s two tone paint scheme, a set of Techno Phantom rims and (invisible here) a cucaracha horn behind the grille!
The car also comes with a big ducktail and a tsurikawa dangling below the rear bumper.

The SG is one of the highest grades of the Chaser: it has IRS and is powered by the 1M-EU engine. This low mileage example has been garaged in the past 10 years so there hardly any rust on it!
And what is a zokusha without some pimp blue interior?

The seller describes even hauling his children to the nursery with this car daily. How awesome is that?
The buy-me-now price of 950,000 yen (11,000 US dollar) may sound a bit steep, but it is definitely one of the best looking MX41s I’ve seen so far.

by banpei with no comments yetThis Heros 79 Crown is one of the best looking Crowns I’ve seen so far! Its wicked styling includes everything: big lip, oil cooler, hood fins, ultra wide boxy Super Silhouette fenders with deep dish SSR Mk 1s in them, big double spoiler and of course four skyscraping exhaust pipes at the rear!
The image may not be meant for widescreens, but it is surely a great wallpaper for your desktop if you center it!

by banpei with no comments yetFacebook fan Alexander Veit from Austria posted this tri-continent Bosozoku-SoCal-ratlook crossover on our wall:
BOSO?SOCAL CIVIC
Yup, definitely bosozoku at the rear!
But at the front you can see the whole mix between the three styles:
BOSO?SOCAL CIVIC
Oil Cooler meets rusty fenders meets bonnetless front meets polished Ronals meets roofrack. This weeks Fronte still got to do some stuff if they want to compete with this mashup!
And I love the design of this boso?socal sticker:
BOSO?SOCAL CIVIC
Alexander, can we copy those designs? 😛
Maybe not a real bosozoku meeting, but I went to the JCS 2010 this weekend and spotted this Suzuki Fronte SS40 with an oil cooler right under its bumper:
Suzuki Fronte SS40 at JCS 2010
Maybe a bit more rat-look crossover than bosozoku, but the car looked really nice!
As you can see they just entered the meeting area. I wanted to catch up with those guys later and went to their spot an hour after they arrived. Unfortunately they already left and didn’t see them the rest of the day, so no additional pictures nor info on this car… Anyone knows these guys?
Nice to see the style getting more popular on outside Japan!

How about some super clean granchan GX71?
Hot or not: Granchan Cresta GX71
This Toyota Cresta has been perfectly modified in the Granchan style: oilcooler, lip, hood fins, widened fenders, two tone paint, deep dish SSR Mk Is and of course a big spoiler on the trunk!
This is how deep the SSR Mk Is are:
Hot or not: Granchan Cresta GX71
Probably somewhere around 10ish inch! 🙂
Hot or not: Granchan Cresta GX71
And of course the Cresta is not the standard model: it is a Super Lucent model! 🙂
Now is this Cresta hot or not?
