Back in the 80s this Skyline C110 was one of the badest ones around:

But today? I think many people will think it is a waste to chop off a C110s roof, even if it is a less desirable sedan. 😉

It took me some time to find a suitable picture to follow up the C110 tail lighted Celica RA28, but this Kenmeri Skyline with Cedric headlights will do nicely!

The Skyline was posted on the Aoyama Joker’s website as one of their cars. The vintage photo was taken in the early 80s and had a, common for cars of that era, two tone painting applied. Normally I would not think two tone pink/silver would actually look nice, but I’d say this is an exception to the rule. 😛

Amazing how good these Skyline C110 tail lights look on a Celica. I wonder how much better the Celica liftback would have sold with these lights? On the other hand: the banana tail lights are also something special…

Some time ago I posted a video containing music by The Mack Show and got a bit more interested in the band. Apparently they made a song called Ballad of Ken and Mary in which they sing about their beloved Skyline C110.
If you haven’t figured it out: the song is loosely based upon The ballad of John and Yoko by the Beatles where John Lennon sings about his beloved marriage with Yoko Ono.
