Last week we featured a tree-like exhaust on a GX61 at TAS 2010. This week we have a Nissan Skyline C210 with a hatstand-like exhaust, also found at TAS 2010:

Unknown kei car on a trailer. Could it be a Honda Today? Nice exhaust pipes in the foreground btw!
Toyota Soapra XX @ TAS 2010
Remember the infamous Toyota Soapra XX shot by 7tune at Daikoku Futo? Well, it was at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2010! 🙂

How about a Leopard then?

Another beautiful Soarer! This time it features a sharknose!

by banpei with 2 commentsNow when I saw this car my first thoughts were not Nissan Skyline C210, but actually 1981 Ford Mustang Mach 1!
Nissan Skyline C210 Mach 1
Everyone who did see the original Gone in 60 seconds knows the looks of the Mach 1 by heart! Okay, it does not resemble the Mustang one on one, but you can clearly see its influences! 😉
However the paintscheme is clearly inspired by Starsky and Hutch’s Ford Torino. So which Ford did inspire this car?
I only wonder about the quad pipe exhaust: would this be a 4 cylinder L16 or L18 Skyline then?
by banpei with no comments yetThis time we feature the yellow Buttigiri sharknose Skyline C210!
Buttigiri sharknose Skyline C210
Sharknose with a clean more than 45 degree shadowy overhang
This yellow Skyline Japan is one of the best sharknoses I’ve seen so far! The nose has a sharp more than 45 degree angle and ends just far enough to give the original headlight a shadowy overhang.
Nice spoiler and Nissan Cherry E10 Coupe taillights
At the tail a lot of work was done as well: the tail lights were swapped for Datsun Cherry E10 Coupe (not the Cherry X1-R: they are a tiny bit different) and the rear spoiler lines just go nicely into the rear quarter panel, as if they were following that typical Skyline bob… Also the fuelcap relocation is done nicely!
Original L20E with side draft carbs
As you can see this car still has the original L20E it came with, but now upgraded with a set of 3 side draft carbs. Also the choice for yellow is a very good one: it became a really flashy car which suits the angular bodylines very well.
All in all one of my favorite zokushas!
by banpei with 3 commentsAnd the winner of the second quarter finals is…
The Kyusha styled Nissan Skyline C210 Japan!
So the finals will be one tough cookie: two Nissan Skyline C210s competing against each other!
