Friday video: Super Silhouette up close
The Tomica Skyline RS KDR30 Super Silhouette was put up for display at the Nostalgic Car Show in Tokyo held in May 2011. During the show the KDR30 was, obviously, protected by a couple of fences, but this guy was lending a hand during the build up of the show and he was able to shoot these two amazing close up videos of the car:
Imagine being this close to such an icon! I would probably have serious issues to resist touching the car. 😛
In the second video we get a good glimpse what’s normally under the hood:
Just look at how big that intercooler is. Imagine how much air has to be pushed through that thing!
Video: almost real KDR30 Super Silhouette
At first I was a bit surprised by this TAS 2011 videoNew Years video: was it the real thing? One second later I discovered it was almost real. Can you spot the difference?
Only the fender and wheelsize are smaller than the original! Nice copy!

I had a good laugh when I watched this stop motion animation of two bosozoku style cars being chased by the Japanese police:
The video is called Tomica “Brothers race shop”. The two brothers drive a Nissan Skyline KPGC10 and a Nissan Skyline KDR30 Super Silhouette (replica) and even manage to get the military involved… The video was made by CARBOY0604 and his son. Love the way the music shifts from scene to scene. 😉
