These nice deep dish rims were photographed on HistoriX Japan:
Deep dish SSR Mk IIs
Dunno how deep they actually are, but they appear to be somewhere between 8J and 10J…
Talking about width, how about these stretched tires?
Stretched tires
Surely the rims are somewhere in the same range and the tires clearly aren’t! Nice!
Okay, there are bead blasters to do the job, but doing it with brake cleaner is always a much nicer way to do it. At least for the videos that is… 😀
86jnosakuretu48te tried to follow ae86lan’s instruction video but failed the first two attempts. But he surely made a lot of flames! 😀
So, you may ask yourself why ignite the brake cleaner with a lighter when you could have done it in a much safer way:
First comment popping up in my head is:
I’m the self-inflicted, punk detonator.
Yeah, I’m the one invented, twisted animator.
I’m a firestarter, twisted firestarter,
you’re the firestarter, twisted firestarter.
Time for another how stretched is your tire?:
How stretched is Bee One One Oh’s tire?
Well, this is how far you can stretch a tire. Ingredients: 13 inch SSR Mk II 7.5J rims and a 135/70/R13 tire.
Result:
How stretched is Bee One One Oh’s tire?
IMO an insane thing to do! m(_ _)m

Another small variant in these deep-dish/stretched-tires series! 😉
Need wider fenders?
This picture shows clearly that the owner of this zokusha is in need of wider fenders! His current fender flares are insufficient of doing their job properly. 😉
No, I did not make a mistake in the title. It was done deliberately because of these:
SSR Mk II 14 inch 10J/11J
Big deal: a pair of 14 inch 10J or 11J rims. What has this got to do with stretching then? Well have a look at this then:
SSR Mk II 14 inch 10J/11J with stretched tires
The seller gives you two (175/60 Continental EcoContact) stretched tires as a bonus!
SSR Mk II 14 inch 10J/11J with stretched tires
But there are some catches with these rims:
– seller doesn’t know the exact width (10J or 11J?) and offset
– one rim has kerb damage on its shoulder (has been polished away)
– mounting bolts are not included
