This week a video of w810sc‘s collection of stretched tires:
He is also famous for this great instruction video about how to stretch tires on wide rims:
The rim is a SSR Mk1 14 inch 12J (ET -44) rim and it looks just as bad ass as it sounds! (???)
Is this a new regular? Well, actually I was planning to do a deep dish but last monday we got a comment from TOJI004 that he stretched 195/50 tires on 10J rims. My remark was that I can only imagine what it looks like! My best guess it comes a bit near this:
RS Watanabe 16 inch 8.5J with 175/60 stretched on it
You can really see the inner and outer shoulders on this rim standing out from the tirewall!
So alternating between deep dish and stretch tires is a nice addition to these series. ????????(???)??????!!!!!
I posted these pictures on my own regular blog last week as well. This Minkara user wanted to find the perfect match for his Carina AA63 Wagon and what else to do with a set of 16 inch 8.5J and 8J RS Watanabe rims than to fit several tire sized on them to see how they look stretched on those rims:
Compare several tiresizes on these RS Watanabe 16 inch 8J and 8.5J
The tiresizes are from left to right: 195/50 on 8.5J, 175/55 on 8.5J, 175/55 on 8J
This is how the 175/55 on 8.5J looked:
RS Watanabe 16 inch 8.5J with 175/55 fitted on Carina AA63 Wagon
And what did he choose? 175/60 turned out to be the perfect match!
by banpei with no comments yetSure, we all saw how many how to stretch your tires before including the brake cleaner trick!
But I bet you never saw two bosozoku (employees) stretching a Toyo Proxes 225 around a 12J SSR Mk. II rim before without brake cleaner!
Great haircut btw! 🙂
This week we do not have amazingly wide wheels like we used to, but a set of 8J wide SSR Mk II rims!
But why feature these wheels then? Well, simply because they have a set of 185/55 tires stretched on them!
SSR Mk II 14 inch 8J with stretched tires
In this picture you can really see how stretched the tires are:
Dunlop 185/55 R14 tires stretched on 8J SSR Mk II
Now that would look great on a kyusha style car! 🙂
