Remember the Zokusha drift meeting? Well, the Toyota Chaser MX41 featuring in that video was caught in an AE86 focussed drifting session:
Enjoy over three minutes of almost endless tiresmoking! 🙂
And a second video of the same circuit during the rain (actually before the first video):
The Chaser did have an engine swap: the 2 liter 1M engine was swapped for a 1JZ-GTE. This gives the Chaser enough power to shake its tail all over this small circuit!
by banpei with no comments yetI found this video about a bunch of bosozoku diecasts running away from the Japanese cops a lot of fun to watch:
The only thing it misses is music and sound effects! 🙂
The creator of the video (Ayrni4) made a lot of other videos like this, but most of them are not bosozoku related. Still, they are a lot of fun to watch! 😉

Ever wondered how those zokushas have that sharp high pitch when revving their engines like this?
The principle is very simple: normal exhausts have mufflers which silence all sounds whil most aftermarket exhausts will silence all high tones to give that deep bass sound. To get the high note like the zokushas you need to do the reverse:
How to create a bosozoku style high pitch muffler
First take an exhaust with the widest pipe (to lose least sound as possible).

Then add an extra sidepipe which will silence the deep bass sounds.

If needed add another to silence the mid tones.

And mount it under your favorite zokusha!

Remember this posting from two weeks ago? Well, Take4Mickey now posted another one and this time with some sound effects:
He loves details: a bosozoku is hanging out of the window of that sharknosed Soarer! Funny!! (???)
You probably seen many many pictures like these:
Bosozoku lifestyle: Pose in front of your Zokusha
You always see these guys posing in front of their zokushas, but most of the time these pictures don’t make it outside the gangs website or bbs.
Bosozoku lifestyle: Pose in front of your Zokusha
But it is part of the lifestyle too: posing in front of your own zokusha is like posing with your very own child: you created it, so you better be proud!

I found it a bit sad nobody ever views their personal pictures, so I placed these three pictures here. If I find more I’ll definitely post them up in a follow up! 🙂
